„All good things go by three”

A traditional German hurdy-gurdy with 3 melody strimgs.

This instrument is crafted in the style of the “German” or “Farmer’s” hurdy-gurdy. It combines the simple folk music instrument’s flair with the elegance and superior craftsmanship of that epoch.   A voluminous body, a big wheel and one oktave melody string in  "g" guarantee a marvellous sound.

Crafting and equipment specifications:

All maple build.

Chromatic keyboard covering 2 octaves with complete diatonic keys (14 keys).

Tuning in C / G.  3 melody strings ( g`- g` -g ) with fine tuners.

Subject: Big German Hurdy -Gurdy arrived

Dear Helmut,
It arrived this morning, I have just unpacked and retuned it. I love the fact its design is so functional and economical, such a masculine looking instrument. It sounds so very good too, a lovely warm, rounded rich sound. I have a couple of singers coming tonight, one of whom loves Hildergard von Bingen, I think I could accompany her, a good surprise.

Many thanks Ray
