             The standardized technical specifications of my hurdy-gurdies:

  • All hurdy-gurdies of my range have the tonal capacity of 2 octaves with 13 whole-and10 semi-tone steps (Traditional French style). All exceptions are marked.

  • All hurdy-gurdies are equipped with quality strings made from catgut, plain or wound with silver wire.

  • The axis is made of silver steel with high quality surface texture.

  • It  revolves on a red bronce slide bearing at the wheel and on a precision ball-bearing at the handle.

  • The wheel is glued to resist warping and reinforced with a circlet of maple shavings.

  • All surfaces are lacquered with shellac.

  • A fine tuner for the melody strings is available on request.

  • The turning knob bearing is made of red bronce.
