Resolute, self-willed and expressive in appearence and sound.

Different looking Hurdy-gurdies - that's exactly what I would have done.

Crafting and equipment specifications:

Instrument body, keybox and peg head made of maple. Keybox lid, wheel cover and various small parts made of oak.

All maple surfaces are stained with earth colour pigments dissolved in priming oil and lacquered with shellac.

Mountain maple keyboard.

Pinewood top.

Measure 35 cm, tuning C/G with two melody strings.

Fine tuners available for surcharge.

Two drones in C / G, 1 trompette.

2 double eccentrics lifting the melody string from the wheel can be operated outside the keybox. It is therefore not necessary two open the keybox and remove the wheel covering.

All further technical features as listed on the hurdy-gurdy starting page.

€ 1350,- (including sales tax 19%)

Variant with capodasters (extra).

A fortunate side-effect of the capodasters is due to the circumstance that trompette and drone no longer have to be lead through a hole directly into the keybox but rest on the slides on the frontal top area, thus simultaneously acting as string bridges transferring all tones to the instrument’s top, greatly improving sound.

Optional equipment:

The stretch-formed brass crank is a standard with these models.

As an optional offer a S-cambered crank is available for the surcharge of  € 15,-.

The principle of the slide bearing is the same with both variants, only the turning knob needs to be reconverted.
