  „I see myself both as an observer and an artist. My creative passion drives me to preserve pictures and experiences which are part of my life. You could call it both diary and sketch book. One is as good as the other”, says Sue B. Russell in the preface of her lovingly written book on her work in and around my workshop which she gifted me with prior to her departure to the USA.

For years, Sue B. Russell was a periodical visitor in my workshop. Chary and considerate as she is with all her works, she was hardly noticeable. Even when at times bringing her pupils along she never detained my work. It’s out of question that Sue is both an outstanding artist and a teacher. Here, I wish to thank Sue B. Russell once again for the original of “Making Parts”, now adorning one of our walls and always remembering me of our pleasant encounters.
