The special characteristics of this unusual hurdy-gurdy:

The body is 75 cm long and 40 cm wide, thus having an impressive size as well as a rich and strong sound.

Mensur: 38 cm.

Both melody strings are unisono „d’“. 

The tonal capacity covers two chromatic octaves. In contrast to traditional French build, this hurdy-gurdy’s diatonic is completely equipped with 14 keys.

One trompette g’ and two drones D/G determine the main keys.

The surface (all maple build with pinewood top) was first treated with an oily priming creating a light honey colour, then lacquered with clear shellac.
