Marked by nature.

This hurdy-gurdy is a marriage of creativity and craftsmanship – with a peculiar result.

The so-called blemishes that occur when cutting a maple plank are in this case rather peculiarly utilized to accentuate the hurdy-gurdy’s elements. In combination with its design it has become a unique hurdy-gurdy that really sticks out on first glance...

The resonance strings are arranged both length- and cross-wise, resulting not only in an unusual sight but also in an especially resounding instrument.

A note on the side: only finely tuned resonance string correspond to the tones of a hurdy-gurdy and add to its sound. Wrongly tuned they do not, however, have any negative effects on the general tuning, but simply remain silent.

The following components are responsible for highly comfortable playing and handling:

Wheelwork mechanisms for all strings.

The second trompette is adjustable in depth by means of a relocatable counter bearing.

Adjustable turning circle diameter for the handle.

Each melody string is equipped with a string lifter. These can be operated from outside the keybox.

Matthäus Zäch  from  the ensemble  Iris Flamb` has lost his heard on this individual idem.
